ABOUT

As the oldest of four kids, before i turned 13 I WAS the default babysitter in our house. It was the ultimate annoyance being surrounded by wobbly, filthy, noisy, unconcerned monsters. Once young adulthood hit, I was convinced kids just weren’t for me. THE IDEA OF HAVING CHILDREN WAS LIKE THE mystery of a black hole. Fast forward to 2014. A good friend of mine was in year 2 of motherhood, and I decided if she could do it, then I could probably DO IT TOO. All TOO SOON my son plopped out of me and MY EMOTIONAL REALITY began to grow - LIFE BECAME A MIX OF NONSTOP AND BLENDED joy, tears, confusion, laughter, exhaustion, worry, pride, frustration, humility, guilt and THE truest sensations of love that I have ever felt, all wrapped up around one wobbly, filthy, noisy, unconcerned monster (WHO IS ALMOST 9 NOW).

Photographing babies and toddlers is very much like the unknown of a black hole, and it’s become a lot of fun over the years for me, documenting children in their very natural, emotional and physical states of being.
